Halal means "allowed" under the Islamic Law (Sharia), and must meet religious requirements ("Halal") and be beneficial to humans ("Taybb") . Halal certification is a third party guaranteeing that a product is produced or serviced in accordance with Islamic law. In general, Halal certification may be issued to food, cosmetics, personal (hygiene) goods, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and restaurants, cafes and hotels that provide halal services. |
Halal certification of manufacturing plants is essential for exporting their products to the Islamic market, and also Halal certifications should be considered to activate the domestic Muslim tourism market in the service sectors such as restaurants and hotels. DCS (Dual Certification System) program for co-issuance of Halal certification
- DCS (Dual Certification System): Halal certification co-issuance program by global Halal certifier and KOHAS.
- KOHAS & Global Halal certification share the same process of application, review, audit, and finally issue two certificates respectively.
- Application channel is set through single desk of KOHAS, and all procedures can be handled in Korea.
- Single certification fee will be charged for two certifications, without charging of travel expenses.
